Well, its all go for me again, life, for once, just continues to get better!

I’ve decided to put aside ALL of my musical ventures, and start a completely new
one. This includes the band I’ve been in for the last 4 years, I haven’t left,
but I’ve told the rest of the guys not to expect me to write much in the near
future.

This is because, my new venture (provisionally called, A Manor, Lone) has taken
off quicker than I could have imagined.

We first practiced a couple of weeks ago and its the first time all of the guys
had ever been in the same room, let alone played music infront of each other,
needless to say, it went much much better than expected, everyone got on
immediately and we finished that practice having written 45% of a song, so it
was a case of “lets roll with this” and we practiced again last week, this time,
a guy came down to try out vocals, difficult because we had no lyrical content
and no cover songs picked …. it didn’t matter, while we jammed out the
previous song, he wrote lyrics, came up with a vocal pattern, and after warming
up for us by playing acoustic guitar and singing awesomely, he proceeded to blow
us all away with his vocal abilities and he was immediately our newest addition.

So, with that in mind, I’ve written up a game plan for the next 6 months. Lets
hope it goes down well with the lads! (watch this space!)

Aside from that, work is going well, I now earn more money than I used to at my
old i.t job, for less hours and for doing work I enjoy way way more, only
downside, I have to work two sundays a month … I’m sure I’ll cope though =P

My best friend had a kid at the end of september. That was strange. He’d kept it
secret from eveyone until the day his gf (again, who he’d kept secret) gave
birth. It was a shock, but I’m proud of him and his little girl is absolutely
gorgeous.

I’ve officially been single for a year, for the first time since I was 16 …
its strange but I like it. I’m kinda seeing someone, and although I like her and
(I think/hope) she likes me, I don’t feel like I want to commit to anything at
this point in time. Plus her job title is way cooler than mine and this
intimidates me =D

I still live on my own with my lil ball of fur Odin, he never ceases to be a
constant source of happiness and is still the reason I feel the need to get up
in the morning and go n earn money. I can’t wait to spoil him rotten for
christmas. (I’m talking 100′s of £’s!)

So thats about me, I still don’t talk to my dad, I still see my mum once a week,
I still support Liverpool FC (finally my faith is being rewarded this season)
aaaaand yeah, fundamentally, I’m still Jimm =] all be it a vegetarian one for
now.

‘These words don’t always come out right’

Well, the short story is I’ve had the worst year of my life and I’m almost back where I started when I finished college.

The long story is that I got together with a girl, ended up moving in with her too quickly, invested way too much time and money into a doomed relationship, money which, by the looks of things, I won’t be getting back. During our relationship I lost my job and this put a major strain on the relationship. I split up with her at the end of august this year and spent less than a month single. I met an amazing girl who, unfortunately, after less than a month of being together, decided she wanted to focus on Uni and didn’t want a commited relationship, so yet again I am single, atleast this split was ammicable.

So now I find myself, depressed, living on my own and with no money, friends that don’t live near me and an overwhelming sense that birmingham just isn’t the place for me to be living.

I seriously need a damn good reason to stay here at the moment. I have nothing going for me and it sucks feeling the way I do.

Now, Its obvious to me who it was, as there were only two people who knew where my guitars were, and I doubt my gf is likely to steal them. All the evidence in my head points to a certain person, yet the police believe him over me. If you lived with someone, who was in a band, knew where your guitars were, who you fell out with, and who then upped and left without telling you, why on earth does that not raise suspicion with someone? I mean, I knew he’d been into my room, and I knew he’d been into my wardrobe when I was checking it out on friday. Long story short, cats did their business on his clothes, I hid them to dry clean them, I get there friday, clothes are on floor having had said mess attempted to be wiped off. What burglar wipes cat shit off someone else’s clothes? Also, the alarm was on when I got there, only one person knew that code and that guy lived below me. When I got there, the alarm was on. Some time between Wednesday the 22nd October and whenever this guy moved out, someone stole my stuff. Whether it be him, or one of his mates. Most of the stuff in question couldn’t have been hauled out a window (one of the downstairs windows was left open) and there was no sign of forced entry around the house at all.

He’s Got The Means, He’s Got The Motive (is in arrears with the rental company, so owes them £550). If you see any of this stuff around please let me know so I can inform the police and send this guy to prison.

I’m glad this matter has gone to C.I.D now as the useless bobby’s who took my statement were just a bunch of clowns. As I said, if any of you are in PMT, Sound Control, Fair Deal or are looking on eBay/gumtree and see this stuff, please please please let me know. The total value of these items is around £1800 and are all special to me, however the The Strat, The Explorer and The Guitar Hero Controller are especially valuable, as they were my 16th, 18th and 21st birthday presents respectively and the Stratocaster was my first ever guitar.

Firstly, I turned 21 last Monday (7th) so I am now officially an adult! Woot, now doing all the things that are bad for me are totally legal so they aren’t half as much fun, so, I supposed I better hit the gym instead! For all my American friends .. I can now legally drink in your country .. beware!

I haven’t uploaded the full size banner or the two custom designs yet. The banners too big for the blog template and the customs are still in progress. You get the general idea though. I’ll be moving into web design and more graphical media soon, I just need to pay for the site and the hosting, if only someone would give me an investment. Oh well.

What else has gone on, ummmm, I’m being moved into the “Web Guy” area of my company, which is currently vacant, this should hopefully open a whole load of doors for me to get out of this town!! Once I have loads of experience and a better portfolio, I’m thinking I might make a move to Bristol, or possibly north of the border, depending on job opportunities and cash flow.

Other than that, I’m still single, I still have a slight drink problem, I’m still in limbo regarding living arrangements and I’m still stuck on Slayer – Raining blood on guitar hero 3, but all that aside, things are going ok.

I’m in a pretty good mood at the moment. Could be better, but I can’t complain …. well I can, but I’m not going to I spent a good two hours playing with Phaedra earlier, the big softy gave me loads of kisses and cuddles and stuff, was lovely. I’m gunna miss her when I move.

Its been a weird couple of weeks, Toms funeral was on Friday, I decided against going, I’m glad I did, I can’t deal with funerals. I went to the service thing afterwards though, which was good, was good to see everyone gathered again, we did our single shot salute to Tom, then hit the town.

I’ve also been re-thinking various aspects of my life. I’ve decided to put things on hold on the girl front, I’ve made the decision about who I really want, and I’m going to hold out for her, despite the distance between us. With the other things going on in my life, I might be able to rectify that, be it by learning to drive, or taking a job up there and moving. If she drops out of the picture I guess all i can do is continue to rock out, play Smackdown vs Raw and be who I am until someone comes along who can cope with me.

I’m also thinking of a job change, I mean, I love my current job, but, Its getting to the point where its very monotonous, which at my age, I really don’t want. I want to be learning and I want to be doing something thats challenging me. Before I make any decisions though, I suppose I should have a chat with the boss. Fun.

I’m also thinking about leaving my bands. My hearts just not in it any more and I want to focus on theory and increasing my knowledge and technique, before I go back into a band.

Other than that, I suppose things are going well. I just wish I had more money and someone to wake up next to in the morning, but hey, watcha gunna do?

OOH, I’ve also realised how awfully pointless alcohol is. So, when I go out, I’ll be on the coke I reckon!
